Ballater is on the A 93 approximately 1 hour west of Aberdeen, ½ hour from Braemar, 2 hours from Perth and 3 hours from Edinburgh or Glasgow. There is street parking at the Cottage and further free parking minutes away.
By public transport 🚌
There are a public bus services from Aberdeen and from Dundee. You can also travel by train or by flight to Aberdeen and take the bus from there.
